Frenemy.
Conveniently tagged and stored (it's so IKEA), later to be used according to personal gain and/or social setting. Tongue-in-cheek phrasing of words, aiming to simplify dialogue (lazy & quick but effective) and to reflect wit. May stir a chuckle or ten, and obliviously inspire a susceptible trillion more to do the same.
Comfort in labeling? For many, it seems to be. Either knowingly or unaware. "Friends lists on Facebook" much?
